Our Hearts their Homes is a nonprofit organization designed to help people from all walks of life obtain a safe and comfortable home.
Our first project is to build a housing community for battered and abused women and children. This community will have one two and three bedrooms with an inner court yard only accessible through the back doors of the units so that women and their children can feel safe. The court yards will have a playground and a pool as well as a flower garden. The community will also be gated. There will be a staff that will help with every part of the journey from moving in to getting medical and mental health treatment and counseling all the way up to finding their own place to live as well as a job. There will be twenty four hour security. Across the street will be a small petting zoo for the children to help with a chance to learn about love and kindness.
It is the goal of Our Hearts Their Homes to make a better place to live for people that are blind, disabled, women and children, veterans, seniors and the economically disadvantaged. For more information please visit their website at http://www.1love.bbnow.org
